Simpsonwood Preschool provides a safe, nurturing, Christian environment where children learn by experiencing the world in which they live. We're committed to providing children an exceptional, educational foundation so they develop to their fullest potential physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.  The Preschool is an outreach program of Simpsonwood United Methodist, which is a “Safe Sanctuaries” church.

Our Preschool is a nine-month program, beginning in early September and ending by Memorial Day. Class offerings range from 12 months through 5.  Our hours are 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Simpsonwood Preschool provides a child-centered learning environment for our young children to experience learning thorugh hands-on discovery, play and exploration. During the school day, students enjoy gross & fine motor activities, music & movement, outdoor play, and chapel. These program elements are coupled with developmentally-appropriate activities to build skills in reading readiness, math, language, art, social studies, and science.  Children in the 3, 4, and 5-year-old classes are introduced to Spanish once a week with a native-speaking teacher.  Overall, our teachers emphasize and encourage the development of social skills and the independence necessary for each child to mature and transition to Kindergarten in a traditional school environment. Our goal is to help children become enthusiastic, independent, self-confident and enthusiastic learners.

Simpsonwood UMC Preschool has earned the distinction of being a "Program of Excellence for Children" through the United Methodist Preschool Association of the North Georgia Conference.

We follow the Gwinnett County school calendar for holidays, Christmas Break, Spring Break, weather delays/closings, and graduation.

Simpsonwood United Methodist Preschool does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, creed, nation and ethnic, or religious background.

Simpsonwood Preschool is not licensed and is not required to be licensed by the state.
