NOEL: Night Of Everlasting Love is the title of this year’s musical celebration. This collection of much loved Christmas Carols was arranged specifically for the Candle Light Christmas Procession at EPCOT Center in Walt Disney World.  A choir of 300 voices and a 50 piece professional orchestra present this program daily from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve. The mass choir is made up of choirs from all around the country who travel to participate in this special event, while enjoying the park’s Christmas Spirit along with all the Disney Magic.  Each night a celebrity narrator tells the Biblical story of a Savior born to a virgin in Bethlehem. Popular Carols of Christmas are woven throughout.  At EPCOT this year the celebrity narrators include Trace Atkins, Pat Sajak, and Neil Patrick Harris, among others.

At Simpsonwood this Christmas, we will design our own worship experience around the same music with choir and orchestra along with scripture readings and a special message from Pastor John.

Rehearsals for our 2017 Christmas Cantata will begin, Wednesday, October 25 in the choir room (lower level of the sanctuary) and continue through Wednesday, December 13. Rehearsal of the cantata music starts at 7:30pm, (regular choir rehearsal is at 7pm)

Saturday, December 16 is our rehearsal on stage in the FLC with our instrumentalists. WAFFLE HOUSE will be here to serve breakfast starting at 8:15am for singers and their families. Rehearsal begins at 9am and concludes at noon.

We will sing for both morning worship services (8:45 and 11:00) on Sunday, December 17.

Recordings to help singers learn their parts are available in several formats. Compact disc, mp3 to download from Google Drive, and a web-site where you can sing along with your voice part.
