David Allen Grady

David Allen Grady

David hails from the great state of Alabama, where he attended the University of Alabama (a fact we’re sure all of Simpsonwood’s UGA fans will kindly overlook.) David has been a member of the North Georgia Conference since 2001 after spending a year as the Residency Program Probationer for the Methodist Church of Great Britain in the UK.

Outside of ministry, David has a passion for hiking, especially pilgrimage. He completed pilgrimage to Israel/ Palestine in 2009 and Santiago de Compostela in 2019.

David is married to his Co-Pastor, Susan Allen Grady. They share the unique distinction of being one of the few couples to Co-pastor in the North Georgia Conference. They will celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2021. Together they look forward to the exciting adventure of ministering at Simpsonwood UMC and seeing how their tradition of Family Fridays evolves as their daughter Joy turns 13.
