Since the Covid-19 Virus has hit, Neighborhood Cooperative Ministries has seen a tremendous increase in need. Specifically, from the last week of February 2020 to the last week of March 2020, the Coop’s total clients served increased 526% from 125 to 783 per week. Total pounds of food distributed increased by 710% during that same time period.
Simpsonwood has answered this call to service while remaining socially distant by hosting Drive-Thru Food Drives! On July 26, 2020 Simpsonwood held our third Drive-Thru Food Drive, bringing our total amount raised to 27,250lbs of food and $18,895! This is an incredible gift to the people right here in our own community.
We want to send a special thank you to our local Peachtree Corners community. Your outpouring of generosity has been a light in these complicated times.
We will be hosting the our final Drive-Thru Food Drive of 2020 on Sunday, November 15th, from 10am-6pm. We hope you’ll join us as we support Neighborhood Cooperative Ministries as the get ready help local families in need throughout the upcoming holiday season.
