Coming to Wednesday Nights in September: Keeping Up With the Methodists!
Sept. 7 (Youth Room on top floor of FLC) : An update on what is happening with the following:
- Disaffiliations (process, churches in NGA, across the denomination)
- General Conference (what is it, why does it matter, when will it happen, who will go)
- Simpsonwood: we’re trying to be faithful to our mission – “To Know Christ and Make Him Known”, which is aligned with the mission of the UMC: “to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”
Following this update, our co-pastors will offer a class on navigating the future of the United Methodist Church together based on the book, The Conversation Matters: Why United Methodists Should Talk with One Another by Henry Knight, III, and Dr. Don Saliers.
