Simpsonwood United Methodist Church cares about our members and the community. We are here to support you in all life stages and events. The Bible instructs Christians to love others, to treat them with kindness, and to care for the poor and the infirm.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35)

“…For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.” (Matthew 25:35-36)

Pastoral Care

We desire to be with you and your family, to provide spiritual care and encouragement and bring God’s love to you. Please help us support you by keeping us informed of upcoming surgeries, hospital stays, lengthy illness or deaths in the family.

Our pastors will gladly pray and speak with you or your family about what is on your heart.  If you would like to speak with our pastor, please contact them directly or call the church office.

Baptisms at Simpsonwood UMC

Simpsonwood UMC welcomes your inquiry about the Sacrament of Baptism and we look forward to assisting your family with planning this special day. It is our desire to make all baptisms a most memorable occasion.

People of all ages can be baptized at Simpsonwood UMC. The United Methodist Church recognizes baptisms from other faiths and churches and therefore does not “re-baptize.”

Prayer Ministry

Prayer is at the center of everything we do at Simpsonwood.  We strongly believe in the power of taking our concerns, needs, and desires to God in prayer.  And we share this responsibility in a group known as Prayer Warriors.

Prayer Warriors meet each Wednesday afternoon in the Education Building Library at 1:30-3:30pm to
pray for every concern requested. Public prayers are placed in our weekly bulletin and private concerns
are never published and are held in strictest confidence among those in the prayer group.

Contact Simpsonwood UMC Prayer Warriors Here.  If you need immediate assistance, please call the church office 770-441-2181.

A handmade prayer shawl made lovingly by a member of Simpsonwood United Methodist Church can be provided to you or anyone you know who needs a “hug” and a reminder that God is always available. Wrap your prayer shawl around your shoulders and remember how He loves you and how we are praying for you every week.

If you’d like to request a prayer shawl, contact Simpsonwood UMC Prayer Warriors Here.
