Summer Women’s Bible Study

Hi Everyone —

This summer, the Women’s Summer Bible Study returns  LifeWay’s The Faithful, a five week study. Each session will have a video by a different author, focusing on a different character of the Bible.  Esther by Beth Moore, Gideon by Priscilla Shirer, Malachi by Lisa Harper, Nehemiah by Kelly Minter, and Hosea by Jennifer Rothschild. Each week we will watch a video and there will be a week’s worth of study to go along with it.

We will meet every two weeks on Wednesdays, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. OR 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. on the following dates:

June 2
June 16
June 30
July 14
July 28

We will gather in the Family Life Center Rooms110 /111 (learn more about our new AtmosAir Purification System) and attendees will be required to wear masks.  Because of Covid-19, we will also be limiting the number of attendees to 14 for each session, so if you are interested in participating, sign up to reserve your spot! You can reserve your seat by calling call the church office at 770-441-2181 or email Lindsey Evans at

Books can be purchased for $20, and will be available for those who reserve a space.  They might be available at the church starting the week of May 31, but are not needed until the class starts on June 2nd and can be picked up at the first class.

NOTE: we need someone to volunteer to help coordinate the morning class.  You could volunteer to help with every session or volunteer to help lead the discussion for a certain week.  This is definitely a facilitator role, not necessarily a “teaching” role.  Please reach out to if you are interested in helping facilitate.

Let’s get back into the habit of summer Bible study together!

Take care,
Amy Coffee

June 2nd
Gideon by Priscilla Shirer: Judges 6:11-13(43:32)—God is more interested in changing your heart than He is in changing your circumstances. Priscilla explores how God positions His people for His purposes.

June 16
Nehemiah by Kelly Minter: Nehemiah 2:11–4:15(23:04)—The message and sacrifice in Nehemiah is not just for other people, it is for us. It is God’s kindness that leads us to repentance and leads us to love others better.

June 28
Esther by Beth Moore: Esther 4:1-17(1:05:32)—Test how much you believe God about who you are and the position you hold. Esther goes through changes to move her from self-preservation to brave determination.

July 14
Hosea by Jennifer Rothschild: Hosea 2 and 3 (32:07)—We are prone to wander away from God. Men, women, the church, people have done this for centuries: lost their first love. The problem is a lack of knowledge and avoiding the temptation to put activity for God in place of relationship with Him.

July 28
Malachi by Lisa Harper: Malachi 1:2-5 (27:40)—This session is all about the power of God’s grace and God’s definitive declaration of love for His people. Our Redeemer loves broken people.
