We are pleased to announce that Gretchen Gartin has recently joined our staff as Missions & Connections Assistant, working with Wendy Willis. Gretchen grew up in Florida and moved to East Cobb when she was a teenager. She graduated from Walton High School, attended Troy University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
Gretchen and her husband, Bobby, moved to Peachtree Corners in 2002 and have two daughters, Katie a 9th grader at Norcross High School and Hannah a 6th grader at Cornerstone Christian Academy. Both girls attended preschool at SUMC before moving on to Simpson Elementary and Cornerstone Christian Academy.
As a former Fulton County School teacher and Simpsonwood UMC Preschool teacher, Gretchen is ready to explore options outside of education. She currently holds a committee chair position with NCL (National Charity League), serves on the board of directors for the Norcross High School Foundation for Excellence and enjoys being a part of the NHS Cross Country booster club as well as helping with various volunteer opportunities at Cornerstone Christian Academy. Gretchen and her family are members of Perimeter Church.
