Light Beyond the Stone Christian Art Exhibition

What an incredible and inspiring exhibition! We are so grateful to everyone who has participated, attended, and continues to support this special event, The Light Beyond the Stone Christian Art Exhibition at Simpsonwood UMC!

The exhibition features 16 artists ranging in age from 8 to 65, showcasing the beautiful diversity of talent within our community and beyond. Leading up to the exhibition, artist and Simpsonwood UMC member Sahar Pyen and her husband, Daniel, also hosted workshops where many of the participating artists created their pieces. Some came with little to no prior experience, yet through these sessions, they were able to create deeply meaningful and beautiful works of art.

We are also excited to share that several artworks have already been sold, which has been incredibly encouraging and affirming for our artists. Our artists and guests came not only from our church and local community, but also from other states, with some visitors traveling 1–3 hours to experience the exhibition. We are truly humbled by the support and enthusiasm.

We are also excited to announce that more workshops and exhibitions are coming soon! These events are open to the public with no age restrictions, and everyone is welcome—regardless of race, ethnicity, age, religion, or belief. You do not need to be Christian to participate. Whether you are a professional artist or someone with no prior experience but a passion for creating meaningful, spiritual artwork, there is a place for you here.

The excitement continues to build as wonderful progress is being made on the Sanctuary Refresh Project! Each day brings us closer

to returning to a beautifully renewed worship space that will inspire worship,fellowship, and reflection for years to come.

We are so grateful for the support, patience, and enthusiasm of our church family as this meaningful transformation takes shape.

The anticipation of gathering together again in our refreshed sanctuary is growing, and we look forward to the joy of that special day.
