Ways To Give

Online Giving

The easiest way for you to give is through Realm, our secure online community. We recommend that you consider setting up a recurring donation through your Realm profile.

Realm Giving is supported by the same trusted company that provided our prior online giving platform, Vanco.

  • You will receive a text back, with a unique link to follow
  • Enter the amount you wish to give and choose the appropriate fund from the dropdown
  • Click Continue
  • Select or enter your payment method
  • Click Give
  • You will receive a verification via text and a receipt via email

 

For future giving, simply text the amount you wish to donate and it will process automatically.

Download the Realm Connect app. Login with your Realm account to give. The Realm Connect app also allows you to setup a recurring donation.

Additional Giving Options

IRA

 

If you are 70-1/2 or older and have an IRA, you may have an optional way to support the church. The IRS allows tax-free contributions to a charity like Simpsonwood UMC direct from your IRA that will not be included in your taxable income. Please be sure to discuss these matters with your professional advisor before taking action.

 

Appreciated Stock

 

You may donate stock to fulfill your pledge or for contributions to other projects. By donating stock to the church, you are eligible to take a tax deduction for the fair market value of the stock at the time of the donation without having to pay capital gains tax on the increase in value of the stock. If you have the actual stock certificate, it can be endorsed to the church. If your stock is in a brokerage account, it can be wired into the church’s brokerage account. Please provide the following Fidelity Investments account information for stock gifts to Simpsonwood UMC:
